What to expect with the 3 session package:

 

SESSION 1

1. Identify your goals.

3. Assess how you move.

4. Identify a focus for the session and use a combination of movement explorations and light touch to create more functional movement habits.

SESSION 2

1. Assess your progress and learn from your movement experience.

2. Build on the movement habits created in Session 1 to continue movement explorations and light touch needed to reach your goals.

3. Grow your ability to learn from your movement.

SESSION 3

1. Review your goals.

2. Consolidate what you have learned.

3. Build on the movement habits created in prior sessions through movement explorations and light touch to expand your repertoire of functional movement habits.

4. Identify your personal recipe for what you will pay attention, how to continue learning from your movement and ways to track your progress.

After each session I give you:

1. A personal checklist of movement habits to monitor.

2. Movement homework to wire in new movement habits.

3. Curated information to support your learning include personal videos you can download and keep.

4. You finish the Move Freely Package with a clear sense of how to move more freely.

MOVE FREELY 10 SESSIONS

How the 10 session package works:

Depending on your goals, you may need 10 sessions to dive deeper into learning more functional movement habits and unlearning dysfunctional ones.

With this personalized program you get:

1. Tracking of your progress including pre- and post- videos of your movement and a progress map showing your progress.

2. A customized checklist of what to pay attention to as you move.

3. Personal homework to improve the quality of your movement – you will have a personal library of movement explorations, curated information and micromovements to support your movement life.

4. A personal Move Freely recipe to support your movement freedom.

5. Ask Me Anytime – you can send a voice or video message to me with any questions – I will respond as soon as possible.

As a certified Feldenkrais practitioner, I support my clients to learn from their movement, un-learning habits that create pain and improving movement habits to move freely, efficiently, often with less pain.

When I talk to people who first come to work with me, they are frustrated and can feel like failures because what they have tried hasn’t worked. Specialists say they can’t do anything more to help. These people are not ready to throw in the towel on living a full life but don’t know what to do next.

I am in a lot of pain – how can I learn about movement when it hurts this much?

I work with very small, gentle movements to create positive changes in your brain and nervous system.  This approach can reset your internal pain system.

I’ve been told that I can’t expect to improve any further – why would this help?

I support you to use your personal learning tools: your attention, curiosity, senses and self-visualization to learn from and improve your movement.  These practical neuroplasticity tools helped you learn to walk, to learn a sport, a new language or any new activity you didn’t know how to do.  Many therapies leave out this learning process and focus on your physical movement alone.

My knees joints are damaged or my neck vertebrae are fused – how could this help me?

I support you to find your best possible movement, with whatever structural conditions or limitations you have.  We can’t change what has happened; we can work together to learn how you can move to function better in your daily activities.
